B.B Synthetics ("we", "our", "the shop") operates the B.B Synthetics
Catalog Android application ("the app"). This page tells you what
information the app collects and how it's used.
Information we collect
- Approximate location (from your IP address)
The app makes a single web request to a public IP-geolocation service
(ipapi.co or similar) on first launch and once every 24 hours afterwards
to determine the approximate city your internet connection is in. This
is used solely to decide whether to show the catalog or a region-locked
screen.
We do not request access to your device's GPS, fine location, or
any Android location permission.
- Your cart (local only)
Photos you add to your cart and any markup you draw on them are stored
only on your device, in the app's private storage. They never leave
your phone except when you tap "Send on WhatsApp", at which point you
explicitly choose to share them.
- No accounts, no analytics, no advertising
The app has no login, no signup, no analytics SDK, no advertising
network, and no third-party tracking. We do not collect your name,
phone number, email, contacts, photos from your gallery, or any other
personal information.
What we share
We share nothing with third parties.
The only outbound network traffic is:
The IP-geolocation lookup described above.
Image fetches from our publicly-shared Google Drive folder.
The WhatsApp share intent you trigger manually.
Data retention
IP-geolocation result: cached locally for 24 hours, then refreshed.
Cart and edits: kept until you remove them or uninstall the app.
No data is retained on our servers because we don't operate any
servers.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Permissions the app requests
Internet: to fetch catalog photos from Google Drive and to call
the IP-geolocation service.
Boot completed / Wake lock: so the periodic background catalog
refresh can run.
That's the full list. No camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, location,
or storage permissions are requested.
